Ruud van Nistelrooy spoke to MUTV after the 4-0 win over Celtic in Seattle. Here's what the goalscorer said:
Played well
"We looked fit and we played well. Celtic made the play, but it was their fifth pre-season game and our first.
"They had more of ball and more of play, but you couldn't see a big difference between the teams."
Good team
"It's great to start against great teams like Celtic and the other teams that we will face. They will bring us into shape we want to be in."
Early goal
"It was a good start, it was one of my first touches in the game and it's always nice to start like that."
Bellion's goal
"We're all so happy for him. He deserved it, he's worked so hard in pre-season training."
Feeling fresh
"We all had a good rest and looked after ourselves, so we've come back quite fit, Mike Phelan has had a great pre-season with us.
"The 4-0 scoreline was a bit much, but it's great to win in front of an amazing crowd. It was surprising to see how many United fans there are in America."
USA Tour
"You come to the US and you don't know what to expect - maybe everyone talking about "soccer". But they're great football fans, enthusiastic and they're United fans. What more can you want?"
Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has called on the English Premiership champions' fans to back the judgement of manager Alex Ferguson.
The Scot sold England captain and United fans' favourite David Beckham to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
But his attempts to replace him with Ronaldinho have been caught up in a row between United and the Brazil star's current club Paris St Germain.
However Dutch international van Nistelrooy, who scored 41 goals last season, on Friday said: "The manager has been in this business for such a long time and everybody knows he makes the right decisions."
He also told United's television station MUTV: "It was great to play with David. I will miss him and I wish him all the best. I am sure he will do very well over there.
"But as players we have our own jobs to do. Some new players have joined the team already and maybe there will be a few more yet."
Ruud van Nistelrooy has admitted secretly hoping David Beckham's move to Real Madrid would fall through.
The Dutchman followed the saga of his team-mate's transfer while on holiday in America, and watched with the rest of the world as the England skipper finally became a Real player afte passing a medical.
And van Nistelrooy, whose stunning success in his two seasons at Manchester United owes plenty to Beckham's pinpoint delivery from the right wing, believes the 28-year-old's departure will be difficult for the club to cope with.
"David will be a big loss," said the striker. "We will miss him very much. I can only speak for myself, but I will miss him as a man, as a guy in the dressing-room and as a player on the pitch.
"It was still just speculation when I went to the USA. Yet even there it was front page news, so I followed it all the way.
"Even though it became more and more likely he would go, I was hoping the transfer would not go through. But it has and we must move on.
"Everyone knows about Becks and his right foot. There is a kind of magic that comes out of it, which you rarely see. It was fantastic to be with him for two years and that is what I will keep in my mind."
Van Nistelrooy wished Beckham all the best in Spain, and had words of encouragement too for Carlos Queiroz, who quit his role as Alex Ferguson's assistant to become coach at the Bernabeu.
And the 40-goals-a-season hitman is looking forward to meeting up with both as United renew their Champions League challenge in the coming season.
"He did so much both technically and tactically last season," said van Nistelrooy. "From a human point of view, I learned so much from him. He's a real friend of mine. Real have made a huge signing in him.
"I have been the Champions League top scorer for two years in a row. Now the time has come for me to win it instead of just being top scorer.
"Real are not unbeatable. They put us out of Europe last season, but we played almost equally as well as them.
"We will be very competitive again this season in the Champions League and I cannot pick a favourite between us, Arsenal, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus and Inter Milan."
Ruud van Nistelrooy played the first 76 minutes of Holland's 2-0 win over Belarus on Saturday, but it was Patrick Kluivert who won all the headlines.
The rumoured Reds target scored his 38th goal in 69 internationals to put the Dutch 2-0 up in their Euro 2004 qualifier - and became the top scorer in Holland international history in doing so.
Former Arsenal man Marc Overmars opened the scoring in the Group Three clash in the 50th minute, with Kluivert passing the milestone seven minutes later.
The result puts Holland three points clear of the Czech Republic in the race for Portugal 2004, having played a game more.
As the summer season of transfer sepculation grows increasingly frenzied, Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is barely able to conceal his delight at reports of Ronaldinho's imminent arrival at Old Trafford.
The Premiership champions are understood to be on the verge of closing a £9million deal with Paris St Germain for the Brazilian World Cup winner - and van Nistelrooy could not be happier.
'It is fantastic news for the club and for me. We could not sign a better player, I genuinely mean that,' he told the Daily Mail.
'I imagine Ronaldinho will play in the hole behind the main striker and that is exactly what we need.
'The manager has been looking for that type of player since he tried to sign Paolo di Canio 18 months ago.'
The Dutchman added: 'Now it looks like we are close to getting the best in the business. Ronaldinho is a sensational player and I am so excited.
'It is obvious a player like this will only make the team better. He will help us in the Premiership and he will give us a better chance to go all the way in the Champions League.'
