Defender
Ricardo Carvalho rounded off the game with a powerful shot after 73 minutes to set the Chelsea fans into a frenzy.
However the game was marred by a serious Wayne Rooney injury.
The England star striker picked up a foot-injury after a tackle from Paulo Ferreira.
Rooney who will be out for 6 weeks is seriously in doubt for this summer World Cup.
"Wayne Rooney has fractured the base of the fourth metatarsal on the right foot and he will be out for six weeks," reported a Manchester United source.
