Ruud has revealed that the most painful thing in his Manchester United career is missing out on Roy Keane's testimonial match.

Ruud has flown back to Holland for training with the Dutch national team after leaving Old Trafford on Sunday.

"It is painful because I wanted to be there to respect Roy but I have not been allowed to," Ruud said.

"That is the most painful thing of all. "I have spoken to Roy and he is totally fine about it."
