According to reports, Chelsea has a made a sensational swoop for Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The shock move will reportedly involve a swap with Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen.

Ruud seems almost certain to leave Old Trafford after falling out with United boss Alex Ferguson.

Ruud has also been linked with various clubs which involve AC Milan, Lyon and PSV Einhoven.

It was also reported that Chelsea's chief executive Peter Kenyon had met up with Ruud's agent.

And according to the reports the pair had agreed on personal terms.
