Newcastle United are reportedly ready to bid for Ruud van Nistelrooy after ending their interest in Dirk Kuyt.

Reports claim that Newcastle United rejected the asking price of £14 million for Kuyt.

Hence Newcastle has now turn their attention to Ruud who is a proven Premiership goalscorer.

Ruud's future could be resolved later this week, when he is set to hold talks with Sir Alex Ferguson over his future at Manchester United.
