Ruud delighted at Real

Ruud van Nistelrooy told a Dutch daily newspaper that he was delighted with his move to Real Madrid, stating it is the best thing that has happened in his career.

"I'm here to win as many trophies as possible," the 30-year old said in the Trouw daily. "I feel like twenty again at Real."

"It is a new challenge for me. I won four trophies with Manchester United, but I want more, and Real has given me that opportunity.

"This club is the best thing that could happen to my career at this stage."

Ruud also praised his new coach, Fabio Capello.

"My first impression of him is very positive. He is very direct and says what needs to be said. He'll never answer a question with 'maybe', just 'yes' or 'no'."
