Ruud has 'nothing against Sir Alex'
Tuesday, October 10, 2006
RUUD van Nistelrooy says he respects his former boss Sir Alex Ferguson, despite the fall-out that resulted in his Old Trafford departure.
The Dutch striker is now plying his trade with Real Madrid after his five-year spell at United ended in acrimony in summer.
The 30-year-old said he felt "betrayed" following his hasty exit but now says he holds no grudge against Sir Alex.

The relationship between the pair soured after van Nistelrooy was left out of United's Carling Cup final team in February and things came to a head when he was banished from the Reds squad before the final match of last season against Charlton.
But van Nistelrooy, who moved to the Bernabeau for £10.3m, said: "United was a fantastic time in my life, not only football but I met some wonderful people.
"I turned down the opportunity twice to come to Real Madrid during my United days, but this time I could not say no.
