Van Nistelrooy to miss Depor game
Friday, March 14, 2008
Ruud van Nistelrooy has been ruled out of Real Madrid's game against Deportivo La Coruña in Riazor on Saturday as the club's medical team do not want to rush him back.
The Dutch striker has been told that if he misses the game in Galicia and continues to work on his comeback, then he is likely to be given the green light to play against Valencia the following weekend.
Ther was some good news for Bernd Schuster as Fabio Cannavaro trained with the rest of the squad again in midweek and made himself available for the game against Depor.
Arjen Robben is also keen to return to action again and continued to work hard on his recovery in training on Thursday as he aims to return for the visit of Valencia to the Bernabéu.
Christoph Metzelder was also out on the training ground even though he has already been ruled out of appearing in the Depor encounter, while Gonzalo Higuaín and Miguel Torres also worked as they looked to shake off small knocks.
