Huntelaar will save Real - Ruud

Ruud van Nistelrooy is backing Klaas Jan Huntelaar to rescue Real Madrid's season.

The Ajax striker is arriving in Madrid next month as a direct replacement for Van Nistelrooy, who has been ruled out for the season with a knee injury.

The former Manchester United star declared: "Klaas-Jan Huntelaar will definitely save Real Madrid.

"You cannot go by his statistics. Although, he has already played a handful of seasons in the Netherlands, he is already legendary. It is a turbulent time at Real, but Huntelaar has the right mentality.

"He will encounter few problems."
