I was able to catch the odd game or so on TV but not much else.
I was very excited when I heard we were going to sign him, as from what I saw he was an amazing player. I was very very disapointed when I found out he failed his medical, but I was able to read about how his recovery was going, and how he was getting on, and when I found out we wanted to sign him again I was over the moon. I even tried to go down to Old Trafford to see him there, but my parents were busy so I was unable to.
Since Ruud has been at United, I have become an even bigger fan of his, he is an amazing striker, who scores fantastic goals and lots of them, and really has been a relevation to the Manchester United team, his record speaks for itself.
He is not only my favourite player, but my idol, the player I look up to the most, admire and respect the most.
He has a fantastic attitude on and off the pitch, and is a lovely man (so says Lotte :D) and for that I feel there is no better player in the world.
My dream of course is to meet him, I have seen him play down at Old Trafford, and they have all been fantastic experiences, and I was there for his return match from injury in 2005 against Portsmouth where he set up the winner, on his arrival Ruud got the biggest cheer out of all the players, just showing how much the fans think of him.
I will be at Old Trafford again on September 24th where I will see him again live, which is an amazing thing.
I hope you enjoy the site, as it is fantasic and I hope too see more members on the message board.
